The emphasis in this lesson is on producing the /v/ sound at the end of words. The /v/ sound is produced like the /f/ in that your upper teeth make contact with your lower lip. However, in making the /v/ , voicing is added making it louder than the /f/.
Here are some easy activities for practicing this sound at home or while you're traveling around during the day:
Gross Motor Games:

Here are some easy activities for practicing this sound at home or while you're traveling around during the day:
- Look around your house and see what you have 5 of. Plants? Dogs? Bicycles?
- Simple bingo or lotto games are a great way to practice saying “I have it” or “I don’t have it”.
- Talk about your favorite things by saying what you love in different categories- “ I love to eat____”, “I love to go to ______”, “I love to play ______”.
- Play with cars and say what you drive- “I drive the bus, you drive the car
Gross Motor Games:
- "I have it!" catch game- use something easy to catch and each person says "I have it!" when they catch it
- "Move!" - the opposite of "freeze", kids stay still while music is on, then can move ( & yell "move") when the music is off
Core vocabulary (high use words): I've, drive, have, give/gave, live, love, of, move, five
Line-up cheer - Teacher: High 4? Kids: High 5!!
