/t,d,s,z,n,l/ are all sounds we make  placing the tongue tip at the alveolar ridge, which is  the roof of the mouth, right behind the upper front teeth. Each of these sounds is made in that place but they are differentiated by the manner of production and whether or not they are voiced. To  develop awareness of oral placement, it's useful to work on several sounds made in the same place.
