Here is how you make the "sh" sound:
Make your tongue high in your mouth and pull it so that the sides of the tongue contact the back teeth at the roof of the mouth. Make your lips stick out a little bit.
This tongue position makes shallow groove in the center of the tongue. Push a stream of air over the tongue.
Here are some simple activities you can do with your child to practice this sound:
. Look around your house and find things that you can and cannot, or should and shouldn’t, push.
2. When you are driving around town with your child, look for car-washes and call it out when you see them.
3. Look around outside with your child and find a tree and a bush. Talk about how they are alike and different. Look for more bushes and call it out whenever you see one.
