Welcome to PALS!
Hello Families! Welcome to a new year of PALS! I’m going to be contacting each family individually and posting it on my website. Because of health and safety considerations to do with the Covid-19 virus, there will be some changes to how we operate.
Calendar- PALS will start on Monday, 8/31/20 & end on Thursday, 5/20/21. We will not meet on parent conference days, early release days and student holidays. That means no PALS on:
Pick-up /drop off time and place : Our hours this year will be 11:45-1:45. Car drop off & pick-up will be at our middle gate. We'll arrive at 11:40 & we’ll wait until 11:50 if people who may be running late.
Our webpage for PALS is right here. I use our website in every session, and each book we read has a webpage with corresponding games, activities, printables (including the craft we produce), target words and grammatical forms. You are invited to use those resources in whatever way works for your family. If you have ideas for things I could add to those posts, please let me know
Please send me digital or hard-copy pictures of your child and family! This is really an “all year” request. When something fun and/or interesting happens in your child’s life, send me some relevant pictures & we’ll practice talking about that in class.
Backpack items: When coming to PALS, your child should bring a backpack containing:
Classroom supplies that I’m asking everyone to bring are :
Donations requested, only if you happen to have some of these gently used items or things leftover from other events -:
Until later,

- All of our students will need to wear masks for as much as they can handle it. During actual therapy activities, which is most of our time, we'll just be wearing face shields. We ask that you provide your own, but I will have child-size masks & shields in case we need back-up.
- Every child will have their own supplies
- We won't have a snack time, but if your child needs it, he/she can eat lunch at PALS.
- The daily schedule includes more structured printed games and activities with printed directions and a second craft activity. This is to increase the amount of fun, non-digital practice materials at home.
- For in-person learning, treasure box items will be prepackaged or cleaned + packed in a ziplock bag. To make their selections, PALS friends will use their eyes and words instead of handling the different objects. For remote learning, treasure box items will be pictures that I will forward & you can print at home.
