We make this sound by putting the lips together,   building up air pressure behind them  and then releasing  the pressure to make a  little puff of air. That sound should be very airy and not sound like a whole syllable. Some fun ways to practice this sound at the ends of words are:
  • At a playground with your child on a swing, both of you say, or yell, "up-down"  as the  swing moves though the air.
  • When you're in our car or walking through the neighborhood, read the stop signs and count how many you. see.

Core Vocabulary Words- stop, help, up, keep, group, top, shape, sleep, drop, hope
